"Incendia" comes from the Latin word for Fire and "Motus" from the Greek word for Motion; a fitting name for a troupe which offers an expert balancing act of big fire and movement to entertain audiences across North America.
These performers share a love of audiences. They are constantly striving to evoke enthusiatic responses with the mind-blowing feats they perform; artfully combining object manipulation, audience participation and improv comedy to weave around their huge Fire and breath-taking Acrobatics. From the streets to full-scale productions, Incendia Motus is a versatile and experienced Circus crew. Whatever you're celebrating, they will bring excitement, entertainment (and just a hint of danger) to heat up your event!!

Flare (Riley Gilchrist) Riley’s performance career began not in the Circus circuits but in the rings of Professional Wrestling. It was there that he learned the fine art of entertaining audiences and the drive for constant improvement. After meeting Kyle he took his love of performing to the world of Fire Arts and never looked back. He has been acclaimed as one of the best Object Manipulators in Canada, specializing in Devil Sticks; an uncommon and difficult object to master. Small but mighty, Riley Gilchrist has left an impression on audiences across North America with his expert combination of Manipulation and Acrobatics. |
Spit-Fire (Jasmine Wong) Jasmine began as a gymnast at a young age and became familiar with the stage through theatre and music. She picked up her first hula hoop tricks amidst the East Coast music scene and started her fire spinning career in 2012 with the New Brunswick based crew "Revolutionary". She added partner acrobatics to her bag of tricks when she guested with Incendia Motus in the summer of 2014, and became the third permanent member after taking part in their performance at Nocturne, the Halifax Art Festival. Since then she has trained at Toronto's Cirque-ability, learning acrobatics and aerial silks, and is continuing to heat up her skills in the Incendia Motus fire. |
